Happy Chicks began with a simple belief: high-quality eggs can only come from truly happy hens. Our journey started on a small patch of land with a commitment to transparency, sustainability, and the well-being of our feathered family.

What began as a passion project has grown into a community of like-minded individuals who care about where their food comes from and how it's produced. We are proud to lead the way in welfare-focused farming, setting a new standard for the industry one egg at a time.

Why Pasture Grazed and not Free Range?

After we investigated different styles of free range egg farms we discovered that sadly not all free range eggs are produced by hens that are free to roam in nature.

We also found some amazing examples here in New Zealand that inspired us to create the best! So at our farm we have created an environment where our hens can run in the sun, shelter in the rain, dust bathe in sand, throw worms around and all that fun stuff that Happy Chicks like to do.
